Nancy Ann Miller is a Licensed Acupuncturist who practices in
Arlington, Virginia. She has received special training and
certification for using acupuncture to treat addictions,
including smoking. She has served on the Board of the
Acupuncture Society of Virginia, and currently is honored to be
on the Board of Acupuncturists Without Borders, a nationwide
organization of acupuncturists offering free treatments to
victims of trauma and conflict, including veterans and their
families and survivors of natural disasters, such as Hurricane
Katrina.
Nancy studied Zen meditation at the Zen Center of Rochester, New
York and awareness meditation at the Springwater Center in
Springwater, New York. She brings to her clients the strength of
this 32 year meditation practice. She also studies Tai Chi and
Qi Gong and uses this knowledge to provide clients with simple
meditations and energy enhancing exercises that complement the
acupuncture treatments.
Nancy’s familiarity with the stresses and opportunities of
modern life comes from over 20 years’ experience in the business
and non-profit sectors, including positions in finance at Xerox
and Citicorp and senior fundraising positions at national
non-profit organizations.
Prior to completing the Masters of Acupuncture program at the
Tai Sophia Institute, in Laurel, Maryland in 2003, Nancy
attended Mt. Holyoke College and earned her B.S. in Human
Development and Family Studies at Cornell University in 1971 and
her M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Rochester in 1981.
Using her experience, warmth, and humor, Nancy will work with
you to bring forth balance and harmony for your body, mind, and
spirit.
